Update on what the Youth Club has been up to during the pandemic lockdown....

As you may be aware the Youth Club, like many other businesses and services, has been closed during the lockdown, much to the frustration of staff and young people alike. We have run a very successful summer program up at Castle Park, although running just for three weeks we put on a varied schedule of activities and saw a large take up for those sessions. We are pleased to announce that we reopened in September, initially on Wednesdays, for Duke of Edinburgh sessions, and our usual Friday night sessions. Our sessions will be Covid safe and are in line with measures for schools reopening, so parents and carers can be assured that our environment is consistent with those measures and familiar to young people.

These will not be the only changes evident in our reopening. Everyone will see the changes all around the building. Toilets facilities have been upgraded, moving forward environmentally with low flush toilets and waterless urinals as well as a refitted and upgraded disabled toilet. With inclusion in mind we have made our building more accessible than it has ever been with the addition of ramps into the main hall and the downstairs activity room. This means we are now fully equipped as a venue to be hired for your purposes at very competitive rates. We are looking for groups to get in touch with us at our new email address, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to discuss building availability and how we can accommodate your needs.

We also have some opportunities for working with young people, so if you are interested then please get in touch and see about joining our team.

These have been challenging times for all of us and no less so for the young people of Frodsham and the surrounding area. For the last 50 years Frodsham Youth Club has made young people its core, offering a safe environment within which to empower and inspire young people to achieve and grow both within the community and on a personal level. Developing social skills to aid the challenging transition from childhood into adulthood, through the principals of respect, participation, positivity, equality, diversity, and inclusion we always seek to help young people to develop stronger relationships and collective identities.
