Join the Special Celebrations!

Calling all crafters

All things bright and beautiful …. is the theme for a new textile collage being created to celebrate this special anniversary. Just over half the 150 squares are now under construction or completed. But we need more!

If you would like to create a square, using any kind of fabric, crafting technique, or if you would prefer to sponsor a square, in your own name or on behalf of a loved one, contact the Project Manager, Sandra Christie.

These are just a few of the completed squares awaiting sponsors.

Rotary in Frodsham & Helsby are moving ahead with their plans to once again organize this year’s “Frodsham Festival in the Park” which for many years now has proved to be a wonderful and popular Community Project.

The Festival will go ahead using the same format as previous years but with a revised date of Sunday the 29th of August 2021, subject to the Governments Covid-19 restrictions being relaxed as currently proposed, so... fingers crossed!

With this in prospect, we hope that a good day out will be had by both residents and visitors alike, so please put this event in your diaries and calendars and come along.

Further details will be published next month.

Our club will soon be holding Saturday morning bowling sessions for all ages, it is a great family activity, it’s outdoors in a safe environment and we have our own safeguarding officer who has been DBS checked.

The sessions are about simply coming along and learning the basics which over time will develop, for those who want, into a competitive sport. We need more recruits for our Cheshire Junior squad for example and there are lots of league teams in the area to join.

We have lots of coloured bowls of various sizes to be used by all and other equipment to make it a fun session. You will learn how to play the game, measure, mark a scorecard and tactics.
