Please note that due to the Corona Virus situation, many events have been cancelled or postponed. We will endeavour to keep these events updated, but we would encourage you to check with the event organiser.

Our club will soon be holding Saturday morning bowling sessions for all ages, it is a great family activity, it’s outdoors in a safe environment and we have our own safeguarding officer who has been DBS checked.

The sessions are about simply coming along and learning the basics which over time will develop, for those who want, into a competitive sport. We need more recruits for our Cheshire Junior squad for example and there are lots of league teams in the area to join.

We have lots of coloured bowls of various sizes to be used by all and other equipment to make it a fun session. You will learn how to play the game, measure, mark a scorecard and tactics.

Thursday 24 - Saturday 26 June, 7.30 pm at Kingsley Community Centre

(Socially distanced auditorium seating)

Kingsley Players are back on stage again in June 2021, after more than a year away due to Covid, performing a one act play.

Actors Neil Silcock and Sue Elliott take on 14 character roles in TWO, a bitter sweet comedy by Jim Cartwright, staged Thursday 24 - Saturday 26 June. Directed by Tom Hayes, the one act play offers an insight into the 1980’s working-class pub culture of northern Britain, expressing how pubs in the 80’s were a powerful source of community, just as they are now.

The audience is invited to enjoy a drink with the landlord and landlady as they steer the action through an entertaining evening of antics down your typical local. The lager flows and the customers just keep coming. But as the bell rings for last orders, the bonhomie turns sour, revealing bitter cracks in the relationship of the couple behind the bar.

Full Covid risk assessments have taken place and all seating will be socially distanced. A limited number of pre-bookable tickets are available. Tickets cost £10 each, including a drink. Each performance at Kingsley Community Centre starts at 7.30pm and lasts about an hour, with no interval.
