This lovely family run business was established in 1977 and has shops in Frodsham and Northwich, employing a total of twelve people.
Ron Munro started the business with a home selection service, visiting customers in their own homes before branching out to his own premises. In 1992 Ron’s wife, Val joined him to help alleviate the load followed by son, Darren and daughter Kelly when they finished school, approximately 18 years ago.

Louise goes back to her roots after eight years away...
Having sold The Cottage Tea Shop eight years ago to concentrate on Dandelion Gifts and Traditional Toys, Louise found that more increasingly she was missing the tea room environment and several months ago decided to fulfil her yearning. Following the refurbishment between Christmas and New Year, Dandelion Gifts and Traditional Toys recently opened a Tea Room within the spacious shop.

Emi Howe (formerly from The Comfort Rooms, Helsby) has always been very passionate about holistic therapies and quickly realised the great benefits of Hydrotherm. Since going mobile with her business, Emi has seen her client-base increase as more and more husbands are keen to give a treatment a go and feel the benefit.

In 1989, Northwich born Keith Darlington set up his own business, Keith Darlington Electrical. Although initially focussing on domestic customers, as the business gradually grew Keith also began to work with commercial clients such as schools, colleges, universities and local authorities.
Twenty five years later, the company, now known as KDE Ltd, is not only still going strong but has expanded to include plumbing and heating services along with bathroom and kitchen installation, currently employs 45 staff and handles a number of large commercial contracts as well as local businesses and domestic customers.

Perfect for private functions, the restaurant can cater for over 100 people dining at the table with full waiter service or buffet options are also available.
You don’t have to be a member of Helsby Golf Club either to book a private function, which many people don’t realise.
The bar and restaurant has magnificent views over the course which provide a beautiful backdrop for any occasion. And prices at the bar are very attractive too!

Blakemere’s annual Scarecrow Trail from Saturday October 19, to Thursday October 31, this year will be bigger and better than ever with dozens of colourful characters to spot and fantastic prizes to be won. Scarecrows will be created by the many shops and attractions at Blakemere and visitors are invited to come along and discover each one.
