Do Your Doggie Best Friend a Favour...

Removing all the toxins and additives that are present in man made food, in favour of a natural canine-appropriate diet certainly has some major benefits. I found out just how on a recent visit to Early Paws in Sutton Weaver.

I must admit that I’ve tentatively talked about feeding raw to our dogs over the last couple of years but I’ve been under the misconception of having to pick up a raw carcass every day or so (thanks to a friend who does just that!). Well how wrong I was and now it’s becoming so much more convenient and appealing.

Koraai, the new family run Indian Restaurant in Helsby opened it’s doors on 3rd October and has received very positive comments since.

We went on a Sunday evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Warmly greeted by Bakul and the rest of the team we enjoyed papadums and chutneys while we made our choice.

The interior of the restaurant is lovely and fresh, clean and well laid out. Staff are really friendly and helpful without being over bearing.

cafe interiorMill House Café opened it’s doors in November in the old mill house at Kingsley Mill, hence it’s name! This had previously been the tack and clothing store, which has been relocated to the feed and pet supplies building.

Situated between the villages of Kingsley and Crowton, the family business, established for over 100 years currently employs over 20 staff. It has evolved over the years from not only supplying the local farming community but pet owners and smallholders alike. A substantial part of the business caters for horse owners and all their requirements.

On the 12th November, Frodsham’s new Indian Restaurant and Take Away, Little India was officially opened by Frodsham’s Mayor, Cllr Allen Wales.

Following the ribbon cutting and reception drinks, guests were treated to a delicious meal, which was very enjoyable. A selection of tasty starters - Samosa’s and Sheesh Kebabs with lovely sauces, followed by a selection of the finest curries. Chicken Bhuna, Lamb Balti and Vegetable Bhuna served with pilau rice.

Nestled in the heart of Elton is a little jewel of a salon!

Gary Jules Hair Salon along with Elegant Nails And Beauty By Caroline is the perfect place to get pampered!

Gary Jules is owned and run by Julie Brumby, who is also the Senior stylist.

Celebrating its 9th year in Elton in 2013, Julie is incredibly proud of what the salon has achieved over those years.

“When I set up the salon in 2004 I was 24 and in the following years along with my staff we have amassed very a loyal following of clients and specialising in Colour and Hair Ups has proven to be the recipe to its success”

We certainly did!

Party on down at AmoréMy very good friend Diane celebrated a special Birthday (ok she was 40 - sshh!) with a girly night out at Amoré in July, and what a great night we had.

The evening started with pre dinner drinks downstairs in the bar before heading up to the beautiful Italian Restaurant upstairs where we were welcomed by Fernandes and Renata. As we chatted and Di opened presents and cards we nibbled on Garlic Bread Arrabiata, topped with tomato and fresh chilli - very moorish.
